What is the Knights & Conquests Heritage Centre Experience?

Granard in Co. Longford is the site of Ireland’s Tallest Norman Motte, built in 1199. The Knights & Conquests Heritage Centre is adjacent to this site and tells the story of the Norman invasion of Ireland. With a wealth of audio-visual and interactive displays to discover, it is a wonderful place to spend a few hours’ exploring for adults and children alike.

How long does the complete experience take?

We recommend that you allow at least 1 hour for your visit. As the site is self-guided you can take as long as you like. We recommended 1 Hour & 30 minutes for group visits of 10+.

Individuals can visit Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays in Winter without booking. Groups can visit mid-week but need to book ahead.
